Land Surveying - Title for my land

Expert: Cliff Wagner - 10/8/2009

Question
Hi Mr Cliff,

I need your help regarding my land title.
I have a land about .75 acres but during the move from this city to the other city, I lost my title, deed, and all document. My question is in order for me to obtain the title to a tract of my land, what do i have to do?
Thanks for your time

Answer
You can obtain your deed from the Register of Deeds at the County in which the land is located. If by Title you mean a Title Report or Abstract of Title, the person or company who prepared that document will have a copy of it.  I would call the attorney who handled the transaction for you.
