Question Any advice for eradicating bamboo? We live in Northern Virginia and have an uncontrolled patch near our house. We've cut it down to 4' (from about 30') and want a solution. Some landscapers say regular Round-up use, one says he can dig it out with a Dingo, and a third says Round-up + install a DeepRoot Rhizome Barrier. What really works?
Answer Hello Jesse, the only really effective way of eradicating bamboo is to first dig up the root systems (to almost a yard deep)then either cover the area with black plastic nylon and weigh down with rocks or spray once a month with round up- its tough!
