Landscaping & Design/Question..

Good day
Searching for a 5 mini trees to beautify the front strip lot of a piece of land near a main road according to the following specs below.
- trees must be between 5 to 8 feet when fully matured and not exceed 8 feet
- tree must be able to survive in Tropical climate like Florida
- tree must require little maintenance and be very affordable
- tree should serve purpose to make a plain plot of land look attractive
Based on above specs what type(s) trees would you recommend.
Also are there any types of flowers or plants you recommend to plant in between. For this project I am searching for some of the most affordable types of trees, plants, flower since my budget is tiny.

Here is a list of trees and shrubs that will give you enough flowers, leaf color variations and textures to work with. Arrange your plantings in contrast and variety. For instance, you might want to have a section of trees arranged in a neat row and have some shrubs arranged informally,if you choose to use shrubs. Use at least 3 different types of plants.

An advantage to using shrubs is that they eliminate the need in some cases, for ground cover or other understory plantsm. Shrubs are also better at blocking views than trees.

Shrubs (to 6 feet):

Bougainvillea (bears thorns)

Gardenia (heavy flowering)

Trees (All will require some pruning to keep 6 feet or less):

Dwarf Poinciana Tree

Crape Myrtle

Dwarf Magnolia

Flowers/Ground Cover

Black Eyed Susan

Silver leaved aster (grassy appearance)

From Civil Engineer: I am very impressed with your work and with the obvious thought you have put into the marketing of your venture. It was especially good to see a print of that job we discussed on the phone. I wish you much luck with the venture as I do with your plans for school. Im darn proud of you buddy. And by the way, when I get my license, maybe you will consider me for a consulting job down the road. I hope to get together with Rick sometime soon and I would really like to show him your stuff if its ok with you. From all these questions you ask I get the feeling that you are genuinely interested and have put alot of thought into the idea and process of landscape architecture and if you could possibly afford the cost I would urge you to take some classes in the areas you are most interested in. The subject is not so simple as it appears, mixing science and engineering with art and a certain amount of religion to create a comfortable and pleasing balance between man and nature. A thoughtful soul like yours can do this but it can be a lifes work getting it right.
