Question Hey Al!
I am going to be visiting Laos sometime in the next 4 months, and I am wondering if I should apply for a visa before I get there, of if I can obtain my visa once I arrive at the country. Which do you suggest? Thank you for your time!

Answer Hey Travis,
Well, first, congratulations on your choice to visit Laos, one of my favorite places to travel in the world. As for the visa, if you don't want any trouble or any risks when you get there, it wouldn't hurt to get it before you go. But, actually, it's pretty easy to get when you arrive if you don't want to bother with it now. Just remember to have at least one passport size photo and if I remember correctly, US$30. I crossed from Thailand at Nong Khai with a busload of people and everything went smoothly. It took a little while to process everyone but it was very easy. I hope this helps! Have a great trip!
