Question I have a Compaq Presario V2000 series. I just replaced the battery and am working on going through a few cycles to get the new battery up to maximum capacity. The power meter on my computer is saying critical power, when there is plenty still left...do i need a software patch or will this get better as the battery goes through some more cycles
Answer Hi Steve, hopefully this will just work itself out with the new battery, unless the new battery has a different power rating than the old one. If it's different, you may want to see if Compaq has an update to the software, or use a third party battery monitor like this one from ESX Corp. http://www.exs-studios.com/page_laptopbatterymonitor.html
