Question
When typing text (word document, e-mail, etc) the cursor will suddenly jump to a random location in the text.  I cannot complete two sentences without having to relocate the cursor and delete what was inadvertantly inserted in previously typed text.  What causes this and what can be done to fix it?

Answer
Hi Kathy, usually this is a mouse problem. It moves itself where ever it wants and clicks by itself. But normally that happens not just in text docs.

Sometimes it can be fixed by updating the drivers for your trackpoint device. You can also try deleting the device through device manager and letting Windows reinstall it.

If that doesn't work, the device may be faulty. Best bet there is to have a shop look at it, or, if your really good with those things, you can usually find new ones pretty reasonable online.
