Question
Hi. i have purchased a used dell 3500 ts30t for my daughter to use. It has no pointer and the right and left click buttons are not working. If I plug a mouse in, it works fine. when i go to hardware it is blank. the key board works fine and there is something in the keyboard file. I am a rookie with computers, I think I need a driver installed , I do not even know where to get one or how to install it? this laptop is not connected to internet yet, I will let her do that. can I down load to a cd then install it in lap top?  thanks  Art.

Answer
Hi Art, sure you can download it to a CD and install. You'll want to go to Dell's website here: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
Select the correct model and operating system, and it will walk you through downloading it and provide instructions for installing it. When the download site asks if you want to run it or save it, select Save and put it in the location you want, then burn it to CD.

Hope that helps!
