Laptop Problems - Dell Latitude D600 problem

Expert: Shot - 4/24/2008

Question
Hello, I have a problem with my Dell Latitude D600. When I turn it on all the loading Dell and Microsoft comes up and loads, but when the login screen comes up i get the error "Issas.exe - Application Error - The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click on OK to terminate the application". So I hit OK and another pops up. So I hit OK again. Then nothing happens. It stays on the blue screen without the login window. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

Answer
Hi John, this is really not a nice error to have. Can you boot the computer into safe mode so that you could do a system restore to a date before it started? If not, you may have to try doing a repair install of Windows. Instructions, however vague, cna be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/doug92.ms...

If you need help with those let me know. I've done it many times. Your programs will be Ok, files will be Ok, but you loose all patches and service packs issued since you XP disk was made.
