Question I am getting a chipmunk like sound from my laptop when playing a CD or DVD. Not faster but slightly higher pitched. The same CD's and DVD's on another laptop are fine. Acer support dont have a clue.
Answer Hi Peter, did Acer support have you change the drivers? If you don't already have the latest drivers for your sound card and hard drive controller, I would update them. If you do already have the latest ones, try going back one or two versions. As long as it's actually working, I don't think it's hardware, but you could rule that out by trying a USB CD ROM drive.
