Question I have a Toshiba Satellite M70, 2 years old. The display went all garbled one day, showing random colored lines flashing around the screen. Same thing happened while using battery or AC power. The laptop freezes during windows boot now, and a format did nothing. Also same problem when i used an external monitor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Answer Hi Paul, if it does this both on the display and on a monitor, it's most likely a problem with the video card. And yes, a bad video card can lock up or freeze a computer. It's a plug in module in most M70s, so you might try just reseating it. If that doesn't work, I'd look on line for a new one.
