Question Hi, my name is Stephanie, I am going into my junior year of college, and I need to buy a new laptop. I had a DELL laditude D620 and had mulitple problems with it. The hard drive crashed twice and I needed a new battery once all in under 2 years. I am now looking for a computer that will work for me for school that I can do all of my work on. I would like something under $1000 or around that price range. I have heard good things about HP, SONY, and Lenovo. I am against getting another DELL, seeing that I had so many problems with my last one. Any advice on what I should be looking for in a computer would be great!

I am really sorry for the long delay in the answer.
Your last choice with the dell was wrong, this is why your are strongly against Dell. Latitude models are not designed for home or office use. Dell is the second largest manufacturer of computers in the world and has many good Laptop models.
I suggest you not to go for lenovo for now. When you have Dell, Sony, HP and Toshiba, there is no need for other manufacturers like lenovo or acre.
Here are some suggestions.
1-Dell Studio 15(You will definitely like this new model0
2-Sony VAIO SZ series
3-HP Pavilion DV2800 series
The above models are the bests. Some of their configurations fit your price range. Please search for these 3 models and let me know about the result.If you have seen any other model, you can tell me to review that model for you.
