ANSWER: Hi Drak;

"Core 2 Duo" is one of the CPU series using "Core" architecture. It is very complicated, but to define it in simple words, I can tell that it is two processors in one chip. It means you have two CPUs connected to each other.
1.67GHz represents the clock rate of the CPU.Clock rate is the rate in cycles per second at which a computer performs its most basic operations such as adding two numbers or transferring a value from one processor register to another.

Answer
Hi;

You can connect two monitors to your laptop, bu you can't do two different works with two keyboards and two monitors!
A Dual Core processor can just do many task simultaneously.

If you connect you laptop to another monitor, you can just have your laptop screen on the monitor.

Wish You Luck
