Laptops - Iqon Laptop won't start up

Question
Hello there. I hope you can help me.  I have an Iqon Laptop.  It's only 3 years old.  2 weeks ago I was watching a dvd on it when suddenly the screen just froze.  I couldn't do anything with it.  Not even pressing "control, alt & delete" would work.  I had to literally press the button and turn the whole thing off.  Now eversince that happened.  I cann't turn it on.  It turns on and does the usual utillity set up stuff at the very start, then the windows xp screen comes up, but then it shuts down again.  It goes into the startup screen again but nothing happens.  I've tried pressing the "f2" button at the start but there's no options from any of those menus that will help me solve my problem.  I have itunes and lots of photos on my laptop.  I don't care about losing my itunes.  But I'd be devastated if I were to lose my photo's.  Can you please help me?

Thanks in advance,

Yvonne.

Answer
Hi Yvonne;

When a laptop screen freeze while the user is working with it, it much be a power problem or a virus.If a power problem occurs, it may damage some hardware like the HDD or Motherboard.This problem would not be solved unless you show it to a technician.
If a virus or spyware do this, it is curable, but if you need your itunes and pictures, you've to back the data up before formatting the hard drive.

After all, I recommend you to show it to a technician, but if the windows XP logo appears at the start up, I do not think your hardware is damaged.

Wish You Luck
