Question QUESTION: Dear muhammad,
I am going to buy a laptop in iran and take it to the united states.(don't ask me to buy it in US because i am in need of it now)
there are some international guarantees which are offered by some dealers in iran(zigorat for instance).
are these international guarantees really valid outside iran? or are they just fake ?
Best regards
ANSWER: Hi Shahriar;
The International Guarantee does not need any certificate from the Iranian dealer. You just buy the system and when you come up with a problem, you just go to the nearest service center and they will find out the date the laptop was shipped from its serial number.
Since there is no official laptop manufacturers' service center in Iran, Iranian can not use the international Guarantee in Iran and they have to pay for Iranian Guarantees like Zigorat.
If you buy Dell, make sure you'll never need to go for the Guarantee if you take care of it.

QUESTION: Dear mohammad,
I asked one of the sales representatives of zigorat about the international guarantee.He said that this type of guarantee is not safe and claimed that some of their customers have used the international guarantee outside iran without any problems,but some other could not use it outside iran.He said that there is a serial number that the dubai center(the zigorat's supplier ) does not send back to the original dell company(they Must send it) and as a result this guarantee is not safe!
i am so suspicious about what he said.Maybe they try to discourag international guarantees in order to sell their own guarantees ,Or maybe he was telling the truth.
As a final answer the man said that he can not ascertain me about it and said that it may or may not be valid outside iran!!
I am totally perplexed as i do not really know what to do!
Answer Hi again my friend;
I think they want to encourage you to pay for their Guarantee.I do not hing there could be a problem with their supplier(Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai).
If you can afford the Iranian Guarantee too, you'd better get it to be sure there would not be a problem.
