Question
QUESTION: Hi Mahhamad
I want to connect my Laptop to TV, my Laptop has a VGA and TV has tow RCAs for input.So how can I watch my laptop screen on TV by cheapest price. Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Reza;

If you want to use your laptop VGA and your TV just has RCA, the only way is to buy a VGA to RCA cable for a few dollars.
These days there are some other solutions for this if your TV has VGA, Svideo or HDMI. In these cases, you have to buy a direct cable which has both ports and get a better quality.

You did not mentioned your Laptop model and Brand. Many laptops have a S-video output too.If you laptop has this port, you can buy a S-video to RCA cable for a lower price and do the same.

Please let me know your Laptop model and all the input ports on your TV so that I can tell you the cheapest way with having the best quality.

QUESTION: Hi Mohhamad
as you can see in this picture http://www.chinapans.com/images/6-VGA%20TO%203RCA-00897756.jpg  there is a different RCV from this picture http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/attachments/general-hardware-discussion/4459d109... Do they have different names because I want to buy the first one.

Answer
Hi Reza;

In the picture you sent me, the output are 3 wires. Always the yellow wire is for video and the other white and red are for stereo sound. If you just want to have your laptop screen on the TV and want to have the audio from the laptop, then you have to just connect the VGA end of the wire to the laptop and connect the yellow wire to the TV.

You have to notice that you must buy a VGA to RCA not RCA to VGA.It means the RCA end must be Male, not Female.If you do not find the Male one, you have to buy a Male-to-Male connector too.

Here are the standard colors for wire:
Video Composite:Yellow
Left/Mono:White
Right:Red
Center:Green
Left surround:Blue
Right surround:Gray
Left back surround:Brown
Right back surround:Tan
Subwoofer:Purple
