Question
QUESTION: You know so much about these laptops...Can you in your expert opinion tell me if the Sony Vaio Nr is a good choice for just playing games and getting email and doing homework online...Or is there something better in the same price range....thanks so much for taking the time to help me with all this--I am not at all familiar with laptops...(as you can tell...lol)...Thanks once again and have a great night or day depending on where you are--I am guessing India..I am in southwestern Minnesota, USA....Carol

ANSWER: Hi again;

Vaio NR is one of the bests in the market. I does everything well, but when it comes to Graphic applications or games, it does not perform well.It uses an Integrated graphics card(I think you do not know what this is so I explain it). We have 3 kinds off graphics cards used in laptops:
-Dedicated:It is an external component which is connected to the motherboard.It is the best kind for gaming and doing graphic applications.
-Integrated:It is a chip which is located on the motherboard.It is also good for gaming and so.
-Shared:In this method, RAM shares the needed space for the graphics with it.Your system will slow down while playing 3D games with a shared graphics card.

If your daughter is not an avid gamer, the VAIO NR is one if the best choices.It is really beautiful and nice for girls.You have chosen a good and nice laptop.

I live in Iran and now it about 6 AM.
