Question
Hi: Can you tell me how to record from my cassette player to my laptop. Right now I have it plugged in from the stereo to the mike input and have Magix program up. At one time, I was able to do this with Magix but can't remeber how to get the program to input from the mike plug in. Also, is there a better input than the mike input?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Dear Gray and happy for answering your question;

I think Laptops are not good choices for doing this.I have done the same thing many times.With both my Desktop Computer and Laptop.Recording with Desktop is much more easier I think, but I will tell you how.
First plug your cord to your stereo output(also Headset Jack) and plug the end of the wire to your Laptop Input(also Microphone).
I recommend you Sony SoungForge for recording.It is a very good software for doing such things.
Set the settings in your Laptop in the control panel for the Input, then open Sony SoundForge and open the recording window.Play your cassette player and press the record button in SoundForge.
Attention:You have to use a wire that can be adapted to your Laptop.Refer to your user's manual for more information about the cord.
If this procedure doesn't work, tell me, I will give you more information.
Thanks for your question.
