Question
Hi Mohammad, thanks for being there!
Q: I have just read on this site that laptop integrated graphics cards, mine is a Intel GMA 950 (in Acer 5612) cannot be changed. This is a bodyblow as I have bought this computer for two reasons and on a limited budget.
1.I am a graphic designer and take my own Photos  using Nikon D200, i need to view pictures just taken to see TIFF and JPEG quality rendered or re shoot.Ok the ram in this laptop is light, but I can later buy more, first 2gig then 4gig so, download and processing can be speeded up.
2. And this is the big problem! as this is my only mobile computer, I wanted to buy the new Iliyama 22" LCD screen that looks like a great deal for me. The bigger screen plugged in would give me CRT quality when editing photos and complex graphics. How can I do this when the laptop card will not render B.B.C. pix necessary!
Can I get any type of external system graphics card and will my laptop run it?
Thanks Thomas

Answer
Hi Dear Thomas;

I think as an expert, I know better than you what Asus XG Station is and I could suggest you that.
It uses PCMIA slot for getting connected to the Laptop and many laptops have problem with some PCMIA types and I was not sure whether you laptop supports it or not.
On another hand, it occupies much room.I think when someone buys a laptop computer, he might want to carry it with him everywhere, so I don't think he buys a 5 inch wide external box for upgrading its graphics card.
It has been released just 6 months ago, so no results have been published from the tests.
The XG Station lets you overclock its graphics card in real-time simply by turning the large control knob. Though you won't quite get the same performance as you would if that same card was used a desktop PC.
And one another thing:I have'nt seen it on the market yet.
If you find that, please let me know the price.

Finally, I think you behaved rudely by your rating.We generously devote our time answering your questions and you treat us like this?
