About Lauren Bennett Expertise I am a computer science major and my dad is an Electric Engineering, so my life has revolved around computers. For as long as I can remember, I have been buying and selling computers. I tend to travel a lot, so I have always had a laptop. I have bought 5 of them for myself, and bought around 30-40 for friends and family. I have dealt with the good and the bad of various version and brand names. If you are in need of buying a laptop, feel free to contact me and I'm sure I will be able to guide you into purchasing the laptop that will be the best fit for you. I will custom build you computers for you to choose from so you can get an exact idea of what to go and buy when you do it yourself and so that you have an exact price. However, I am in the USA and am only knowledgeable about computers here in the US. I do not know about foreign currency or the quality of computer brand names outside the US.
Experience B.S. in Computer Science. Buying and selling for years. Assisting friends/family.
Question QUESTION: I would like to buy a laptop, high quality, reasonably priced of course. Thanks in advance.
ANSWER: What do you consider reasonably priced? That number varies by up to $1,000 depending on the person. What do you plan to use the laptop for? How I configure it also depends on what it will be used for. Would you be willing to pay approximately $200 extra to have a full 4 year warranty on it that covers all hardware malfunctions, has 24/7 tech support, and on-site repair service?

QUESTION: Yes, I most definitely will be willing to pay more for a warranty. I wanted to pay $800 max, but I'm open for suggestions as I am not the most technologically saavvy. It's major purpose will be for the internet and all of the MicroSoft Office programs. I'm not much into gaming.

This is a great laptop. It has the new dual core processor, 2GB of RAM to enhance your Vista experience, a 256 MB hypermemory graphics card, and more. It also includes a 4 year warranty. That means if anything ever goes wrong with the system, you can talk to someone 24/7. If a hardware component needs replaced (hard drive, keyboard, monitor, etc) they will overnight the part to a tech agent who will then call you to set up a time to repair it (usually the next day). The tech agent will come to your house, apartment, dorm, work, or anywhere else and fix it on-site for you. You are guaranteed to have a working laptop for 4 solid years and you never have to get up off your couch to do it :). I don't think it gets much better than that! Oh the purcahse of the warranty also includes $75 in Dell dollars to use towards a future purchase (Dell has a lot more than just computers)
