Question Will be going to Vegas in 2009 with 6 girlfriends to celebrate a special birthday and will be looking for multi-bedroom suite hotel on the strip...I prefer the Bellagio and have heard they have 5 bedroom villas? Are those limited to high rollers or can regular guests reserve them? Also what is the best way to get tickets to shows like 'O" well in advance?
Answer Lisa,
Sorry but I have never heard of five-bedroom villas... not saying it isn't possible, but the most I've ever heard of is three bedrooms anywhere.
If there is a 5-bedroom unit at Bellagio, I'm guessing it is off limits unless you are an uber high-roller. But all I could tell you to do about that is call Bellagio and ask. Couldn't hurt to see what they say.
As far as multi-room suites I know about, which would be available to the general public, check out the following:
Planet Hollywood Panorama Suite with Adjoining Deluxe Room
Adjoining Suites at TheHotel at Mandalay Bay
The "1500" Suite at Mandalay Bay
2-3 Bedroom Suites at MGM Skylofts
2-3 Bedroom Suites at The Signature at MGM
Fairway Villa at Wynn
Certain Suites at Palms Fantasy Tower
Your best bet is to call the hotels directly, since very few multi-room suites are available online.
And according to this post at vegasmessageboard.com, there may be a villa available at Mirage called the Lanai Suite, but it may require booking far in advance:

Tickets to 'O' are sold to guests of Bellagio before they are released to the public. I believe they are open three months in advance for ticket sales, but it has been awhile since I've heard that. It may have changed. I would call the hotel's concierge for the show you want to see and just ask if they anticipate the tickets will be hard to get. As slow as Vegas has been lately, and with all the increased competition for entertainment, I don't think all shows are consistently sold out like they were last year or before, with the exception of limited engagement headliners.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but since inventory changes all the time, the best thing to do is call the source to get an idea of what's available. If you do find something that works, ask about their cancellation policy. If there is no penalty to cancel, then just go ahead and book whatever you find, so at least you have something. Then you can continue to search for other rooms and tickets without fear of not having something to fall back on.
Have a fun trip!
Tom
