Question
Tom, thank you for all the info you have been a really asset. I have been to Vegas about 10 times in the last 3 years and we are thinking about a guys trip in Sept. Might book a hotel downtown to save on cost but do want to use a pool. Know most hotels require you to have a key to get in although we stayed at the Trop last May and never had to use a key to get in. Just wondering what hotels if any don't require you to be staying in that hotel to use the pool. Thought Luxor might fit this bill but don't know for sure. Please let me know whenever you get a chance. Thanks again for all the info.

Answer
Hello,
I am not Tom, and don't know how your question got directed to me.  I do not know of any hotels that do not have a "guests only" policy.  Perhaps some of the motels in the area, the Mom and Pop type places, or even some of the motels along Paradise, like the Courtyard, and the Residence Inn might allow  non guests.  You could also check with the desk of a hotel you are interested in and see if they have day passes available, with or without a fee.  I know that locals can some time purchase these for use of the cabanas.   Also, some hotels have "beach parties" that are open to the public, and I would think that you could swim during one of these parties.  There is usually an entrance fee, and often, entertainment.
Here's a pretty good web site for descriptions and prices on pools, but it's dated, so prices and dates might be different.  I think it could be a good reference.

I hope that Tom has more particular information for you.

Hope you have a great time in September, that's a good month for nice weather.
