Question We have a group of 7 women (all 40 years old) going to Vegas over memorial day weekend - what clubs do you suggest for this age bracket to dance?? and knowing we are not young bunnies how do we get in without waiting in long lines??
Answer Hi Lori,
If you're looking for clubs to be with people in the 40-ish set, there are plenty of places to check out and you won't necessarily have to wait in long lines. Memorial Day will be crowded, however, so I would still plan on arriving early to clubs and having a plan on where you want to go.
Some places I would investigate:
VooDoo Lounge at Rio - make sure to go to riovegasnights.com and click "passes" at the bottom of the page to e-mail yourself a line pass for free admission and no wait.
Forty Deuce at Mandalay Bay - after the burlesque show ends, they play dance music. fortydeuce.com
Studio54 at MGM - For a true nightclub experience. They get an all ages crowd. Usually a line so get there early. Not quite the raging scene it was 10 years ago, but will work for easy access to a dancefloor & dj.
Carnival Court at Harrah's - Outdoor bar with live band and blackjack tables. Casual setting. Come as you are...
As far as avoiding lines, I don't think the places I mentioned above will be too terribly difficult to get inside. Just arrive early, dress nice and send yourself those passes for Voodoo if possible. You can also check out napkinnights.com which has some guestlist passes for a couple places (Studio54) as well.
Hope that gets you started. And by the way, check out some of these previous answers from the vault that also have information you might be interested in:
