Question
We would  like to vacation in las vegas but have a 11 month old son. I understand he cannot go into the casinos.  Do any hotels offer services to babysit and how would we know how safe it is . Are there any other options as we would love to bring him.  Thanks

Answer
Joan,

If you would have brought your son a few years ago, I would have said you were out of luck but Casinos have gotten "family friendly."  In Las Vegas, several casinos have childcare centers now...the one I have used when my niece (she was 8 and LOVED it) visited was Kids Quest at Station Casinos. There are 5 Station properties in Las Vegas... Palace, Texas, Santa Fe, Sunset and Boulder.  They have a website for reservations at:  http://www.stationcasinos.com/

I called and check on what is required for infant care.  An infant is 6 weeks to 2 1/2 years old...if you are visiting you do not have to have shot records but you MUST have out of state identification...reservations are required..price - Mon-Thur - $5.75 Fri-Sat and holidays $6.75.

Enjoy!

Expertise

I have vacationed in Las Vegas since 1987 and have lived here since 1992. My “expert” area would be things to see and do for adults and families in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. I can provide detailed directions to reach any local area attractions.

Experience

I am the spouse of a retired Army sergeant and we traveled all over the world. It was my responsibility to gather information on the area we were moving too. I also planned all family vacations and activities.
