Question Hi, I have just had an INTAC implanted into one eye and am due to have the other eye treated in the next few weeks.
The information that i have read on INTACS says that they cannot be felt, I however can feel the difference between the 2 eyes, ie I can feel more pressure on the INTAC eye, and it is slightly more sensitive to touch.
Is this normal?
Answer Dear Rob,
The procedure may give you a 'sore eye' feeling for a few days. If after waiting for a week or so, you still feel the discomfort, then please visit the eye clinic for a check including a pressure check.
It is also important to discuss regarding the permenent correction for keratoconus with your doctors. Intacs only delay the progress and improve vision, however Corneal Collagen Crosslinking or C3R is a permenent way of stopping the procgress of the cone.
