As a growing child and until the growth is complete a good balanced diet is important. In this age group carrots containing Vitamin A improve any deficiancy in this group, this deficiency leads to eye sight problems.
However, if you have no deficiency of Vitamin A, then a balanced diet is sufficient, one need not load up on carrots to make the eye sight improve.
If there is weak eye sight, it need not be only because of Vitamin deficiency, it needs to be evaluated and treated accordingly.
