Question hi my name is yasir . i have send you my left eye topography test before the c3r treatment in which my thinnest cornea reading was 375 microns . now its been 3 months and i have again do the topography test of my eye in which my thinnest cornea reading is 336 microns i have the same vision which is still changing i-e 5/6 and is 6/6 with -0.75 glases number . i want to have your opinion too that why my cornea is going on a thinner side is it ok or not . My docter said that it is ok because after the procedure the cornea is tightening bye the process so the reading of the corneal thicness will change and there is no need to worry about the cornea thickness main issue is your kerotoconus disease progression which is stable as i had the same vision before the treatment . PLEASE tell me about this i am bit worried right now .
Answer Dear Yasir,
The thickness may reduce as the cornea gets 'compacted'. There are other parameters like 'K' values which the doctor will monitor.
Please do regular follow ups. The stability of the cornea takes about 6 months and there will be changes on the eye until then.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Dr Anand Shroff
