HI my name is Yasir Mehmood Malik i am 23 years old . i have gone through c3r for my left eye {due to very early stages of keratoconus) on 16 may 2008 and before the treatment i was prescribed glases whose number was -1.00 , i want to know should i wear glases now because before the treatment my vision was almost 6/6{i used to wear glases very rare } but now my vision is sometimes 5/6 and some time 6/6 and is constantly changing i uses glases for seeing objects which are far {-1.00 is the number} but sometime i can read and see far objects clearly without glases because i do not need them . I do not understand whats going on with my eye . My doctor says that your vision will be stable when my cornea will completely stable its final shape so as your vision will be stable then untill then your eye vision will be constantly changing. which will take approx 6 months to be done. Now i want to have your opinion too that should i wear glases now or not . In my right eye i have a corneal graft due to intolerance to GP lense on 12 july 2008 i also want to know when my vision in the right eye will be stable i am taking my medicines regularly . one last question after c3r in my left eye i feel that my left eye is always kind of watery eye is this due to my right eye in which my vision is very blurry and cloudy right now . will you please prescribed me any eyedrops for the c3r treated eye please because when i feel watery my image in the left eye becomes a lightly distorted or blurry thanks .
Answer Dear Yasir,
Your doctor is correct, it does take about 6 months for vision to stabilize, hence you may experience some changes in the numbers in this interim period.
To answer specific queries, it would be best that you send us your topography maps done and the details of the eye doctors report.
You may send the same to dranand@lasikindia.in
