Hi, I am 19 years old.. I have been wearing Contact Lenses for several years now, I have recently been told not to wear them anymore due to recurrent infections in the eye leading to scarring of the cornea. I have several scars on the cornea of each eye. I also have a squint in my left eye and my prescription at the minute is +4.75 in my left eye, and +4.25 in my right. I am wondering if i am still able to have laser eye surgery if i discontinue contact lens wear and go back to wearing glasses, I very much would like to have laser surgery but i am unsure if it is possible due to the scarring on my eyes and don't know if that will ever heal.

thanx for asking such elaborate and interesting question

IF THE SCARRING IS SUPERFICIAL and your corneL THICKNESS IS GOOD ENOUGH YOU CAN VERY WELL UNDERGO LASER SURGERY and you havent told about how much vision you have with corrective glases and why has the squint occured
