The structure of the implant was made to eliminate the risk of glaucoma and other risks that are mention. Sure all iols have risked even FDA approved implants but its a matter of minimizing the risk. One cannot say if the implant has certain risks or not unless he has seen the patent designed drawings. We all know there are many implants used in India and made in India that are not FDA approved but can still be safe. The raw materials used in the BO implant comes from Nusil medical silicone maker which are FDA approved materials.

This article explains the difference in NewIris, the official name of the Panama implant. Newcoloriris was just a medical tourism company not the implant name or company that makes the implant. Implant is made by Kahn Medical.
