Laser Eye Surgery/Question

Hello :-) I was just wondering, my Dad is 80 and he had laser surgery to remove a cataract and they put a new lens in. They told him not to do exercise or straining or lifting for two weeks, why do they say that for, and what would happen if he did those things? Thanks heaps for your time :-)

Thank you for your query

Because exercising and lifting of weights causes strain in the upper parts of your body and since nowadays when we operate cataracts with laser we make a very small opening but we dont put any stitches and it is self sealing wound and incase there is excessive strain this wound might open up thats why we advise NOT to exercise and lift weights for few weeks

please revert back to me if you have any additional query
