Latin - Latin Phrase

Question Hello, I just have on little question for you. For the past year i've been looking
for inspirational quotes in order to understand myself and the things that
happen to me better. I have always been very fond of the quote "Everything
happens for a reason" but in english it sounds very dull and over-used. Do
you think you can help me to find the closest latin form of the phrase? That
would be great help. Thank you!
Answer Hello,
The best Latin translation for "Everything happens for a reason” is a quotation from Cicero, De Natura Deorum [On the Nature of the Gods], Book I, chapter 33, which reads as follows:
“Nihil sine causa“
(literally “Nothing without a reason”, i.e. “Nothing happens without a reason”)
In this Latin phrase in fact the verb (‘happens’ ) is understood, because it is not necessary to the comprehension.
Best regards,
Maria
