Question Hi, I was just curious if Is ut oportet obduco, means this to shall pass.
Answer Hello,
I’m sorry, but the Latin sentence you mention is absolutely wrong and does not mean "this too shall pass" whose correct translation is “Et hoc transibit”.
Regards,
Maria

Note that :
-this = HOC (nominative neuter of the adjective/pronoun HIC))
-too = ET (which stands for ETIAM).
-shall pass = TRANSIBIT (3rd.pers.sing., future of the verb TRANSEO)
As you can see, Latin word order is different from English.
Finally I have to tell you that "Is ut oportet obduco" makes no sense in Latin.
