Question
I was wondering if you could translate "the difference between eccentricity and insanity is measured by success" from English to Italian for me? I would also love for you to give me multiple translations for and any other info you could give me. I studied Italian for two years and understand extremely basic structure for the similar language... I'm curious.

Answer
Hello,

Since I am Italian, I can translate the phrase you mention into Italian, but you are asking such a question not in the category ITALIAN, but in the  category LATIN, which was the language of ancient Rome and the neighbouring territory of Latium as well as  of the Roman empire and the Middle Ages.

So, since Latin is not Italian, though it derives directly from Latin and resembles Latin the most, you should have asked your question at:
http://www.allexperts.com/el/1584-9/Italian-Language/

Anyway just this once  here’s the translation you need:

“La differenza tra l’eccentricità e la follia è misurata dal successo”.

Also in the active form:

“Il successo determina la differenza tra l’eccentricità e la follia”.

In the future however please ask me in the category ITALIAN, if your question has nothing to do with LATIN, and use this category only for Latin language.

Thank you and best regards,
Maria
