Question
hi i am creating a photo journal for someone i know whos been abit down recently and i was wondering if you could translate 'dare to dream' for me. I have found a few transaltions but they all say different things some have the same words but in different orders i was wondering if you could help me on this one.
Thank you in advance, Alice

Answer
Hello,

The imperative “Dare to dream” translates as follows:

“Somniare aude”

See below for grammatical analysis.

Have a nice day,
Maria
________________________________________________________
Note that:

-Dare = AUDE (imperative, 2nd.person singular of AUDEO, I dare)

-To dream= SOMNIARE (infinitive of SOMNIO meaning “ I dream” either in the sense of “I dream in sleep” or in the sense of “I daydream” and  “I have great expectations/hopes”).

Please note that Latin word order can be variable and anyway is different from English.
