dear Maria
Would you mind helping me with translating 'Fearless and Truthful' into Latin (singular female)? I'd like to include these words on a cover design.
Is it 'Intrepida et esto verax'..?? or 'Intrepida et verax', or 'Intrepida et veridica?

Hello,
'Fearless and Truthful' in the nominative feminine singular translates as follows:
-“Impavida et sincera” as well as “Intrepida et sincera”
Or:
-“Impavida sinceraque” as well as “Intrepida sinceraque” , where the conjunction ET is replaced by the enclitic conjunction –QUE which is attached to the end of the second adjective forming an accentual unit with this word.
But, if you want to say “Be fearless and truthful', you must translate it as follows:
-“Impavida esto et sincera” as well as “Intrepida esto et sincera”
Or:
-“Impavida sinceraque esto” as well as “Intrepida sinceraque esto”

GRAMMATICAL ANALYSIS
-Fearless = IMPAVIDA (nominative feminine singular of IMPAVIDUS) / INTREPIDA (nominative feminine singular of INTREPIDUS)
-and = ET or –QUE enclitic.
-Truthful = SINCERA (nominative feminine singular of SINCERUS). Note that in this context Latin uses the feminine singular adjective SINCERA rather than VERAX /VERIDICA.
As for ESTO in “Impavida esto et sincera” (meaning "Be fearless and truthful"), it is the 2nd.person singular of the imperative of the verb SUM ( I am).
As you can see, Latin word order can be different from English. Latin is in fact an inflected language where syntactical relationships are indicated by the endings of each term, not by the order of the words.
