Question
Dear Maria,

Firstly, thank you for your time and effort.

Could you please let me know what is the translation in English of the following expression in Latin: "IN SAECULIS EXORAT"?

Many thanks in advance.

Answer
Hello,

IN SAECULIS EXORAT means :” Over the centuries he prays “ as well as “Over the centuries she prays”, that is to say :”He /she prays forever and ever”.

[See below for grammatical analysis].

Best regards,
Maria
____________________________________________________________________________
Note that:

-IN  (preposition which takes the ablative case)= over

-SAECULIS (ablative plural of the neuter noun SAECULUM, 2nd.declension)= the centuries

-EXORAT (3rd.person singular, present indicative of the verb EXORO, I pray) = he/she prays.
Latin does not use the subject pronoun and then it is the context that makes you understand if the subject of the verb is a male or female person)
