Latin - TRANSLATION

Question
I WAS WONDERING  IF YOU COULD TRANSLATE THIS TO LATIN FROM ME " SAVE YOURSELF FROM HELL" IT'S A QUOTE FROM THE FILM EVENT HORIZON BUT I WANTED TO KNOW THE PROPER LATIN TRANSLATION FROM THE ONE IN THE MOVIE. THANX SIMON ROBERTS

Answer
Hello,

Here’s the correct Latin translation of “Save yourself from Hell”:

1-“Te ipsum  ab Inferis serva” or “Te ipsum  ex Inferis libera”, if you are addressing  to one person. In this case in fact Latin uses the 2nd.person singular SERVA / LIBERA.

2-“Vos ipsos ab Inferis servate” or “Vos ipsos  ex Inferis liberate”, if you are addressing  to many persons. In this case in fact Latin uses the 2nd.person plural SERVATE / LIBERATE.

Please note that in the movie ‘Event Horizon’, the phrase  "Liberate Te Ex Inferis" is wrong, as 'Liberate' is in the 2nd.person plural, while 'te' refers to a 2nd.person singular(See below).

Best,
Maria
___________________________________________________________
-Save  = SERVA / LIBERA (2nd.person SINGULAR, imperative present of SERVO/ LIBERO); SERVATE / LIBERATE (2nd.person PLURAL, imperative present of SERVO/ LIBERO)

-yourself = TE IPSUM ( accusative case, 2nd.person SINGULAR) / VOS IPSOS (2nd.person PLURAL).
Note that TE / VOS means simply 'you', while TE IPSUM / VOS IPSOS means 'yourself'.

- from = AB / EX (prepositions which take the ablative)

-Hell= INFERIS (ablative of INFERI, Hell)
