Latter-day Saints - Mormon Doctrine

Expert: Mike Smith - 3/10/2009

Question
Does your doctrine allow adults to have sexual encounters without issue?  It would seem that the ten commandments enter into a persons responsiblity to wait until marriage.?

Answer
Hey Aly. I apologize for the delay, I have recently changed my email address and I forgot to change where the Allexperts messages go. To answer your question, Mormon doctrine states that sexual relations should be shared only with a spouse, and that only through a temple marriage can the sealing be complete. Hope that answers your question, and sorry again for the delay!
Best, Mike.
