Latter-day Saints - Turning white

Expert: David Gross - 5/3/2009

Question
David,

If the Book of Mormon is true, why do Indians fail to turn white when they become Mormons?

Answer
White has many definitions.  One refers to the color another (dictionary.com) refers to morally pure; innocent.  The Book of Mormon cannot be proven through scientific means.  Science proves things related to science.  Faith and the Holy Ghost prove spiritual things.  If you are trying to prove the Book of Mormon then I suggest you read the Book of Mormon and find a reasonable explanation of its origin other than Joseph Smith translated it as he claimed.  Read it and ask God if it is true.
