AboutSentimentalLady Expertise I can answer LDS (Mormon) lifestyle-type questions....the little things you're wondering about. Perhaps you've heard that a neighbor, colleague or classmate is Mormon, and are wondering what makes that worth mentioning. How are they different? Am I at risk of offending them because I don't know enough about them?
Experience I am an adult convert (since 1997) to the LDS church, so I've seen the church from outside and inside, and understand how different it can seem.
Question We now have a secretary in our Primary and I am hoping to research her role. What I know so far is that a secretary should mark our childrens attendance and record the minutes of the meetings. Can you please advise me on the full extent of a secretary's role in Primary or where I can access information for this matter?
I love you and wish you a good day!

Answer Hi
I am SO sorry to take so long to answer.....I wasn't checking mail for a bit there!
If you are the Secretary, the Primary President should have a manual or handbook about running the Primary, and there should be a section in there that pertains to the Secretary and his/her duties. (I say this not having seen such a manual, because I haven't been in a leadership position in Primary.....but I have seen the manuals for every other area. And it's midnight, so I can't phone anyone to double-check!) The Primary President should make a copy of that section for you to keep, as it's often handy to be able to refer to it.
If you are the Primary President and aren't too sure about this, you should contact the member of the Bishopric who is responsible for Primary, and ask for your handbook/manual on how to run the Primary. Those manuals have SO much information in them.
