AboutHannah Expertise I can answer questions concerning standard doctrines, scriptures, curiousities, Mormon culture and society. I will not respond to debates. I'm sorry, but there are some things that I simply will not answer, not because I don't want to, but there are some things that the LDS people do not discuss casually--it's only talked about within the temple. Though I am a member, I do not believe that anyone could convert anyone to a religion over something as impersonal as the internet. So I won't even try to.
Experience I was born and raised into an LDS family and baptized at age eight. Though I'm still a young person, I can answer most things about the church. I graduated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Seminary of Religion and currently attend Brigham Young University, where all students study Latter-day Saint religion as well as their chosen field.

Question We now have a secretary in our Primary and I am hoping to research her role. What I know so far is that a secretary should mark our childrens attendance and record the minutes of the meetings. Can you please advise me on the full extent of a secretary's role in Primary or where I can access information for this matter?
I love you and wish you a good day!
Arohanui, Lee
Answer I'm sorry that my answer won't be a ton of help, as I've never worked in the Primary much. However, as far as I'm aware, the Primary secretary is also responsible for all the clerical work of presidency. Notes at meetings, organizing birthdays, making sure that there is a prayer, talk and scripture every week, keeping track of how many kids are in each class. Just keeping the records.
Sorry that I can't answer this further. If you're confused still, ask your bishop or branch president, and they can get you the "official" definition of the calling out of the bishop's handbook.
