Question
Is it true that members of LDS are discouraged from consuming hot drinks?

Answer
    Yes, but the real question is, what are hot drinks?
Doctrine and Covenants (a book of modern day revelations) section 89 verse 9 reads as follows: "And again, hot drinks are not for the body or belly."  Additionally, the following is given as official the interpretation: Latter-day prophets have taught that the term "hot drinks," as written in this verse, refers to tea and coffee).
