About Hannah
Expertise
I can answer questions concerning standard doctrines, scriptures, curiousities, Mormon culture and society. I will not respond to debates. I'm sorry, but there are some things that I simply will not answer, not because I don't want to, but there are some things that the LDS people do not discuss casually--it's only talked about within the temple. Though I am a member, I do not believe that anyone could convert anyone to a religion over something as impersonal as the internet. So I won't even try to.

Experience
I have been a member of the LDS church for 8 years. Though I'm still a young person, I can answer most things about the church.

Question
Dear Hannah,

You stated :Native American races, at least some of them, are the remnants of the people of the Book of Mormon, Lamanites for the most part.Well, I happen to be Native American myself but Puerto Rican our ancestors were Native American known as Arawakans or Taino Indians. My question to you is are Puerto ricans part of the Lamanites or a mix of Lamanites and Israelites? I am very into my heritage but into my Native Indian roots. I am olive toned like the people from India my hair is very dark like the native Indians and is soft black, I am very devoted to my faith and as a christian I preach to my family and remind them about Christ our saver. I am 21 years old I love having long hair lol its part of my Native Indian culture but I cut it because of the split ends lol I am trying to grow it back did God say that woman should wear there hair long? Also did God say good things about my tribe in your book :-D I am a born again christian but catholic I am not traditional but I believe to be post-biblical with my beliefs. Is it true that Native Indians are Jewish and if so does that make Puerto ricans as well. What tribe are we descended from. Curisous.

Answer
Interesting questions.

It is possible that the Puerto Ricans are remnants of the people of the Book of Mormon, but I don't know who the remnants are and who are not the remnants. If the Puerto Ricans are the remnants of the people (specifically the Lamanites), the Book of Mormon covers hundreds of years, and at times the Lamanites are more righteous than the Nephites, at times the Nephites are more righteous, and at times neither are righteous and sometimes they both are.  However, primarily they are good things said about the people.  If they are descendants, the Nephites and Lamanites are of the tribe of Menasseh.

I can not think of an instance in which God spoke one way or the other about long hair. I think that's a personal belief.

It seems that you are a very good person, and I hope that I answered your questions.
