Question What does the "Part (insert a number)" mean when they get to the trial section of
the show. Each new scene will show like... So & So's apartment, 123 Street,
Brooklyn, NY, Part 23...what is that?
Answer This bothered me for a while, but it all makes sense ... if you believe the New York Court system makes sense!
The "Part" refers to the individual courtroom it's taking place in. I'm unsure whether a room is permanently called a "part" or if it's just where that judge happens to be adjudicating that day (the part following the judge), but that is the key there.
"Part" isn't mentioned along with an address. (FYI: Most all of those addresses are fabricated; if you live in NYC or are familiar with the turf there, most of the addresses, if they existed, would be in the rivers or the middle of Central Park!)
