Law & Order - Mother Son con?

Expert: Kitt Montague - 2/12/2007

Question
I saw an episode of Law and Order sometime between Sept 93 and July 95.  I do not remember the crime but a mother and her son where the criminals.  The end twist was there was more going on between them than meets the eye.  Do you know the name of that episode?

Answer
Hello there!

I do remember an episode in which a mother and son were having an incestuous relationship, and were involved in the same crime -- she talked him into it -- but it didn't happen during the time period you state. The closest I can guess based on the information I have here is that you're looking for "Pride and Joy," the description of which reads:

"A 17-year-old boy becomes the chief suspect in the murder of his father, raising questions of self-defense and abuse that the family does not want to face."

I'm not fully certain that this is correct, though, so if you can send me any additional information, that'd be helpful -- either further plot points, or who was serving as the ADA (was it Ben Stone/Michael Moriarty or Jack McCoy/Sam Waterston) and whether Det. Mike Logan/Chris Noth was still on the show.

Let me know if you can and I'll do further research. Hope this helps!
