I'd like to reference a particular Law & Order (original series) episode in a paper I'm writing, but I cannot seem to figure out which episode it was from the descriptions online. I saw it several years ago (7 or 8 maybe?) so the details are a little fuzzy...
What I remember is the police found a girl in a warehouse or something. I think she had been assaulted and raped. Anyway, she was alive but unconscious when they found her and she went to the hospital. She never regained consciousness, and the doctor told McCoy that she probably would not survive. McCoy asked the doctor to tell the family (and anyone else who asked) that the girl would probably wake up. This way, McCoy could tell the suspect the girl would be fine, and the suspect, fearing she would ID him, would plead guilty. The doctor hesitated, but eventually agreed to do as McCoy asked. I guess the guy probably confessed, but I don't remember for sure.
I know this isn't a lot of info, but if you happen to know which episode this was, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks very much.
Answer Hello there!
Not that you can tell it from the summary on the page, but general consensus here at L&O HQ (heh) is that the episode is "Monster" from the end of Season 8.
