Subject: jill hennesy death in car on L&O

Question
I saw a recent  epecode where jill was driving a  suv or black
car with lennie? and they were t- boned
ususlly on tnt of other syndicsated shows the next incident tells us the cliff hanger.
this time I wondered it that was the last jill hennesy episode of L&O? we wee lenny get out and walk around the car and jill is just lying there in the driver''s seat
this was right after he had been drinking and she offered to drive him home.

I think I liked he better on L&O than crossing jordan.
as an Olt -timer I find her characvter a bit?? flakey.
I hope the actress is less flakey as a person.
I eill bookmark this page but an email would be nice/.

Answer
Greetings --

Yes, that episode you saw, called "Aftershock," was the last episode in which Claire Kincaid (played by Jill Hennessy) was featured. Her character dies in that accident, and although she is referred to -- obliquely -- in a few other episodes, that is the last we see of her.

As for her character vs. Jordan on Crossing Jordan, they're very different in personality, that's for sure. I actually like both. I don't see Jordan working very well in the L&O DA's office, or Claire exactly starring in the ME's office on Crossing Jordan. I don't think she was meant to be flaky on L&O -- she was just relatively new and inexperienced, and I think she did a good job. That she does/did both characters so convincingly, I think, proves that Hennessy is a good actress.

There is a fair amount of fan-fiction exploring the last days of Claire around the Internet, should you want to see how other fans played the story out!

Hope this helps!

--Kitt
