Answer
Hi there --

I don't know much about ringtones, I'm afraid to say. I do know that the Law & Order theme song is pretty much the same (there are slight variants) from show to show. So the SVU song is basically the same as the main show song, just with a few changes. All of the music for the show is written by Mike Post, and last I checked if you look him up on Amazon you'll find there's a CD of all of his police show themes from over the years. If you get that and can make a ringtone, you'll have what you want -- but all I could find on the net was:

http://2thumbz.com/law-and-order-ringtones.htm

(Which sounds horrible and tinny)

and

the "ka-chunk" sound they use between scenes:

http://phonezoo.com/Ringtone.do?ringtoneId=31292&fromPath=ShowProfile.do

There's one other possibility -- you could join the Law & Order mailing list and ask several hundred fans at once by posting to it just where you might get a ringtone. Information on how to join the list is here:

www.podengo.com/apocrypha/list.html

Hope this helps! Good luck!
