I am trying to figure out when to take LSAT prep classes and ultimately the
LSAT test if I want to enroll in school next fall (fall 2009). If I do not take the
LSAT until December and apply to school's in January 2009, will that hurt or
hinder my chances considering that applications begin being accepted for
most schools this November? If I wait until later in the process to send in my
application is there a chance this could limit my chances of getting into a top
school?
Please let me know your thoughts you when you have a chance.
Thank you so much!
Kelsey
Answer Hi Kelsey. I highly recommend you take the test in October, if possible. If you take the test in December, I don't believe you'll have your score back yet by the time you apply, so you won't be able to factor your score into your decision as to where to apply. Also since most law schools admit students on a rolling basis, the sooner you can submit a complete application (i.e. including your LSAT score) the better off you'll be.
I hope this is helpful, and I wish you luck in all of your endeavors.
