Question I have been in the insurance and financial services industry for 22 years. I've recently considered a career change into the field of law since i have thought about this for sometime. In staying in my field somewhat, is the area of securities laws an indemand area and is it as much ort less lucratives as other areas? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Answer Hi Val,
Securities law is a lucrative area of law that is in demand in today's legal marketplace. A recent survey by Robert Half, a national legal staffing agency, found that a heightened focus on regulatory compliance issues will create a continued demand for corporate and securities lawyers. Many of the nation's largest (i.e., highest paying) law firms have healthy corporate and securities practices.
Thanks for writing!
Sally A. Kane, J.D.
